ESG Strategy & Sustainability Commitments
This is a forward-looking strategy, not an audited ESG performance report. Proposed targets are identified as aspirations, subject to baseline measurement, resources, and periodic review; they are not presented as achieved results.
Executive summary
SpacePoint develops practical pathways into space science, satellite engineering and advanced technology through modular educational hardware, training, digital learning and partnerships. Our greatest opportunity for positive impact is to widen access to meaningful STEM learning, develop future-ready skills and encourage responsible innovation. Our principal environmental priorities are resource-conscious kit design, electronic-waste management and travel-efficient delivery; our governance priorities are integrity, learner safety, privacy and transparent business conduct.
Our ambition is to contribute toward one million learners over the long term. This aspiration is distinct from the measurable 2026–2028 ESG targets below and is not a claim of present reach.
01 / Our ESG approach
This strategy covers SpacePoint-controlled activities and relevant supplier and delivery-partner relationships in the UAE and other countries where programs are delivered. It is informed by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (especially SDGs 4, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 16 and 17) and by GRI principles for identifying material impacts; SpacePoint does not claim GRI-compliant reporting, certification, independent assurance or UN endorsement.
02 / Environmental responsibility
Objective: deliver high-quality hands-on STEM education while reducing avoidable materials, waste and operational impacts.
Design educational kits for repeated classroom use, modular repair and replacement of individual components rather than unnecessary full-kit disposal.
Develop reusable packaging and maintain a take-back, repair or component recovery pathway where operationally feasible.
Handle batteries, printed circuit boards and electronic waste through suitable authorized collection and recycling arrangements.
Expand digital simulation, hybrid instruction and remote mentoring when educationally effective, while retaining hands-on practical learning.
Integrate energy efficiency, environmental sensing, Earth observation and climate-related projects into relevant teaching pathways.
Establish a defensible baseline for kit materials, waste, program travel and electricity before making emissions-reduction claims.
03 / Social impact and inclusion
Objective: make space and advanced-technology learning more accessible, engaging, safe and connected to tangible careers.
Offer age-appropriate pathways from introductory STEM activities to satellite development, prototyping, technical projects and research exposure.
Maintain Arabic- and English-language learning resources where practical, together with adaptable delivery for schools, universities and community partners.
Use sponsored cohorts, school and institutional partnerships, scholarships or subsidized access when funded and feasible to reach learners who face financial or geographic barriers.
Develop instructor capacity through train-the-trainer programs, assessment and ongoing improvement of educational quality.
Maintain child safeguarding, photo-consent, data-protection, accessibility and safety arrangements for programs involving minors.
Track participation, course completion, learning outcomes and student progression; seek disaggregated participation data only where lawful, appropriate and voluntarily provided.
04 / Governance, ethics and accountability
Objective: operate with integrity, lawful conduct, documented controls and respectful channels to raise concerns.
Adopt and maintain the Data Protection, Privacy & Information Security Policy, Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption Policy, Business & Supplier Code of Conduct, and Whistleblowing & Non-Retaliation Policy.
Assign executive oversight and a designated owner for ESG measurement, review and stakeholder inquiries.
Use fair supplier-selection criteria, conflict-of-interest disclosure, accurate records and proportionate due diligence.
Provide confidential channels for misconduct, safeguarding and privacy concerns, with protection from retaliation for good-faith reports.
Review material ESG risks at least annually and investigate significant incidents, including product safety and information security concerns.
Publish a concise annual progress update that identifies measured results, target changes, data limitations and material incidents where disclosure is lawful and appropriate.
05 / Proposed 2026–2028 scorecard
The targets below are proposed future objectives, not achieved results or guaranteed outcomes. Year one establishes consistent counting rules and baselines; subsequent targets should be refined after the baseline review.
06 / Material topics and stakeholder engagement
Initial material topics include learner access and skills, child safety, data privacy and cybersecurity, instructional quality and product safety, fair employment and instructor welfare, anti-corruption, supply-chain integrity, materials and electronic waste, and responsible use of technology. This list is a management working assessment—not the result of a completed formal materiality study.
We will gather feedback from learners, guardians, educators, institutional partners, instructors, employees and suppliers using appropriate surveys, program debriefs and dedicated reporting channels. We will document how that feedback informs priorities.
07 / Implementation roadmap
08 / Governance and reporting
Executive sponsor: SpacePoint CEO or designated executive. Operational owners: education/programs, product development, operations and information security, as assigned in an approved responsibility matrix. The executive sponsor reviews the scorecard at least annually and approves public disclosures. Material concerns must also use the relevant formal reporting, privacy, safety or whistleblowing process without waiting for annual review.
Metric definitions should prevent double counting, separate enrolled learners from completed learners, distinguish planned from delivered activities, and retain supporting evidence. Data about students and minors should be reported in aggregate and handled according to the privacy policy.
09 / Public commitments
We commit to measuring what matters, improving how we deliver programs and products, providing respectful and inclusive learning environments, safeguarding students and their information, engaging suppliers fairly, and communicating progress without overstating outcomes. We will update this strategy as our capabilities and stakeholder needs evolve.
