Relationship to the employee handbook
This external-facing Code summarizes standards in SpacePoint Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct, Version 1.0 (May 2026), particularly professional conduct, conflicts of interest, youth safeguarding, confidentiality, safety and reporting. The employee handbook remains the more detailed internal reference. Additional supplier requirements below are proposed for management approval.
Business Code of Ethics & Supplier Code of Conduct
1. Values and Applicability
SpacePoint expects integrity, respect, professionalism, accountability and responsible innovation in every interaction. This Code applies to employees, leadership, interns, instructors, contractors and representatives. Suppliers and other business partners are expected to follow the supplier standards described here when working with SpacePoint.
2. Compliance and Honest Dealings
We comply with applicable laws and contractual commitments, communicate truthfully, avoid deceptive marketing, keep accurate records and conduct fair competition. No one may conceal material facts, misrepresent qualifications, misuse confidential information or gain an unfair advantage through improper means.
3. Equal Opportunity, Respect and Safeguarding
We prohibit harassment, bullying, discrimination, intimidation and abusive conduct. We promote an inclusive, professional learning environment and safeguard children and other vulnerable participants. Personnel interacting with minors must follow applicable safeguarding procedures, appropriate supervision and approved photography/communication rules.
4. Conflicts of Interest
Employees and representatives must promptly disclose relationships or interests that could compromise objective decisions, including supplier ownership, family connections, outside work, gifts and procurement involvement. Disclosed conflicts will be assessed and managed, including recusal where appropriate.
5. Confidentiality, Privacy and Intellectual Property
Protect participant and customer information, institutional data, prototypes, designs, curriculum, software, source code and proprietary materials. Use information only for authorized purposes. Respect the intellectual-property rights of SpacePoint, students, collaborators and third parties, subject to the agreed ownership and licensing terms.
6. Product Quality, Safety and Responsible Learning
We strive to provide accurate technical guidance, appropriately tested educational kits, clear safety instructions and responsible handling of electrical, mechanical, chemical and flight-related activities. Instructors and suppliers must report unsafe conditions, defective items, incidents and material quality concerns without delay.
7. Anti-Corruption and Fair Procurement
Bribery, kickbacks, bid manipulation and undisclosed conflicts are prohibited. Procurement decisions should consider objective criteria, including price, quality, safety, capability, lead time and compliance. Gifts or personal benefits must not influence supplier evaluation.
8. Environmental and Social Responsibility
We encourage responsible sourcing, reduction of unnecessary waste, safe handling and disposal of batteries and electronics, and efficient use of materials. We do not tolerate forced labor, trafficking, or unlawful child labor and expect suppliers to follow applicable labor and occupational safety requirements.
9. Supplier-Specific Expectations
Suppliers must maintain lawful licenses and permits where required; ensure safe working conditions; honor confidentiality and data-protection obligations; avoid bribery and conflicts; provide authentic and conforming goods and services; accurately state country of origin and product specifications; maintain traceable business records; disclose relevant subcontracting where material; and notify SpacePoint promptly of significant compliance incidents affecting our engagement.
10. Raising Concerns and Enforcement
Employees, learners, customers and suppliers may report suspected misconduct using [email protected]. Good-faith reporting is protected by SpacePoint’s non-retaliation commitment. SpacePoint may investigate concerns and take proportionate corrective action, up to suspension or termination of a business relationship, subject to contracts and law.
